NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2014
GILFORD TOWN HALL – 1ST FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM
The Gilford Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing to solicit input on a proposed ordinance that would implement a ban on permissible fireworks (a/k/a consumer fireworks or Class C fireworks), as previously adopted by the Selectmen on June 8, 1988.
The primary purpose of the ordinance is to allow Police enforcement of the existing ban and to establish a system of penalties for violations. In addition, the Town is seeking to establish a waiver process for the use of fireworks by qualified persons under safe circumstances.
Copies of the proposed amendment to the Ordinance are available at the Selectmen’s Office and on the Town’s website (www.gilfordnh.org). Click here for Chapter 12A Fireworks Ordinance
Any interested person may attend this public hearing and present information and/or opinions related thereto.
